When St. Lucie Battery & Tire hosted the recent Treasure Coast Builders Association 's Fun After Five networking event, company President Doug Miller announced a plan that perfects the art of re-gifting. In April, Miller presented the winning bid of ,000 when St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity auctioned off its 188-square-foot Diamond Lil' Tiny Home.
St. Lucie Habitat for Humanity partnered with IRSC, Career Source, and TCBA on the first ever YouthBuild program to come to the Treasure Coast. YouthBuild is a vocational education program for at-risk youth and Habitat’s role was to teach the participants valuable construction skills. We did this by building a Tiny Home we named the Diamond Lil’ that Lindsey’s boss, Doug Miller won at a live auction!
Doug and the rest of the crew at SLBT believe so strongly in the Habitat mission, that they want to raise even more money to support our work!
